LOBV Volunteer Happy Hour, April 26th, 5:30-7:30pm

Interested in volunteering for the League of Bicycling Voters during Bike Month?

Come to the LOBV Volunteer Happy Hour on Thursday April 26th, 5:30 – 7:30pm at the LOBV Office.

Join us in preparation for the following events: Bike to Work Day, VIVA STREETS!, and the Urban Assault Ride.  Additionally, LOBV is seeking volunteers to join the Membership Outreach Team and a new volunteer coordinator.

The LOBV Volunteer Happy Hour will provide those interested in volunteering with general information about all upcoming volunteer opportunities and will provide LOBV members a chance to socialize with volunteers.

Bike to Work Day
On Friday May 18th from 7am-9am, Cities nationwide will celebrate new and experienced bicycle commuters.
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • A leader to organize an LOBV Breakfast Station
  • Outreach for LOBV at the Breakfast Station

VIVA STREETS!
With VIVA STREETS!, Austin is celebrating its first Ciclovia on Sunday, May 20th from 10am-3pm.
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Outreach for LOBV at the event
  • Volunteer with VIVA STREETS!

Urban Assault Ride
On June 24th, participants in the Urban Assault Ride will compete in a citywide obstacle course by bicycle.
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Volunteer for the Urban Assault Ride, and benefit the LOBV at the same time
  • Outreach for LOBV at the event

Other Volunteer Opportunities:
Membership Outreach Team:

  • LOBV is in need of volunteers willing to serve on the newly created Membership Outreach Team to help grow the organization. The Membership Outreach Team will be responsible for representing LOBV at local events to provide information and recruit new members.

Volunteer Coordinator:

  • LOBV will be in need of a new Volunteer Coordinator beginning in June. The volunteer coordinator is responsible for managing and recruiting LOBV volunteers. This is a 10 hour per week commitment.

We will have light snacks on hand, as well as adult beverages provided by Black Star Co-op.
