FM 969 Corridor Study Project Transportation Stakeholder Meeting

——– Original Message ——–
Subject: FM 969 Corridor Study Project Transportation Stakeholder Meeting
Date: Tue, 27 Dec 2011 15:33:43 -0600
From: Beverly S. Silas

Greetings,

As part of the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan (ASMP),the City of Austin Transportation Department is hosting a series of stakeholder meetings, to gather input for the community’s vision of this vital corridor. While this project takes under consideration all of the previous planning done along the corridor, it is through this process the desires of residents and businesses will be shared with the various boards and commissions, and ultimately the Austin City Council, for funding future consideration. The development project and priorities established for this corridors will make them eligible for funding through potential revenue bond initiatives, or other sources of monies.

The first public meeting was held on December 6. Now, we are asking you as a stakeholder, to attend a meeting to give input and share your vision of how FM 969/E. MLK, Jr. Blvd./Webberville Rd. (US Hwy 183 to Village of Webberville) may better serve those who live, work, play, and go to school along this corridor. Your input will be added to that received during the public meeting. In April 2012, we will return to the community with recommendations, which will also be shared with the various boards and commissions, and presented to city council in April 2012.

This meeting is specifically designed to include transportation entities. Other stakeholders meetings (neighborhoods, schools, utilities, etc) will be held at different dates and times.

Please join us on:
Tuesday, January 10, 9:00-11:00 a.m.
One Texas Center, Suite 800, Large Conference Room
505 Barton Springs Road

The time is now!

Please reply back as to your attendance, so we may plan appropriately, and we look forward to seeing you.

Beverly
